The Word

Have you noticed? I don’t talk about it
As if this word disappeared from my dictionary.
And I don’t utter it though I can list
Many similar words in my vocabulary.

Have you noticed? You needn’t it at all.
You can go without it as if nothing happened.
It’s something important I never call,
It’s something significant I’ve never mentioned.

Have you noticed? This word has its own shape;
It’s like the world, and like the sun, and like the cosmos.
And it smells of woods or a spring landscape,
And it’s plain like my heart and devoid of pathos…
