Hear the peace in the silence of early dawn As birds awake and begin their sing song The whispers of waves unfolding to shore The wind in my hair as I walk out the door Freedom to choose my very own direction The world spinning in its own reflection The best path that unfurls is the very one Your heart leads you to be wondering upon The sun rises whether I am up to see it or not Love can unwind the threads of your knot Looking for answers in settled tea leaves Finding the truth in what your eye really sees In migration comes a new foundation to live Uncertainty and hope the tarot to give Kneeling before an alters golden laid stand We all long for a connection upon this land The stars will shine behind the cloud cover Let your shadow be your own true lover The newborn turtle crosses the sand to learn The moon a promise of the nights glowing return When I see the beauty of a simple wildflower, Feel the freshness of a surprise summer shower My breath catches as this beauty is told These precious moments of life that it holds Some days I shiver when thunder comes down Then look to the heavens to see the clouds frown Just curl up on the couch to call a good friend I think someone I know has some advice to lend Who knew in small things there is such wealth Especially to be found in keeping good health I’ll pray for your happiness to always be held fast And forget the minutes left behind in the long ago past 2-1-2020
