The Wonder of Birth

A million bright thoughts,
Explode in your brain.
They thunder and crash,
Falling like rain.
Your mind's full of wonder,
All thoughts are astray.
Though you don't realize
You were born today.

Sights, sound and smell
Are kindled with pain.
At that one moment
Inside of your brain;
The knowledge of all
Is what you have got.
As awareness set in
It's quickly lost.

But, at that one moment
You're the great on earth!
You are the apex
Of what man is worth.
Of all the great things
In this universe.
None can compare
with the Wonder of Birth!

"the apex of what man is worth" - well done, Robert. A fantastic tribute to birth.
