The Wisdom of the Unheard

The wisdom of the unheard

You can’t think for yourself
You’re too young to know best
Decisions you make
Always end in a mess
You must learn just to listen
You can’t have a say
Adults know better
So, follow their way

The script it is written
So do what you’re told
Don’t question the wisdom
Of those who are old
Knowing the right way
Takes many years
No place in this world
For those childish ideas

Like; don’t make the rich richer
While the poor starve and dies
Stop politicians
From telling those lies
You can only have peace
If you don’t have a gun
This wisdom is lost
When you’re no longer young

"and a little child shall lead them" What of that? This poem reminds me of that, and the value of THINKING about what is happening, and finding our voices. Thank you Robert.
