The Window

looking through the window into life
biting my tongue holding my breath resisting that slice
to the distance I can see beyond the darkness into the trees
what we chase what we wish for what we long to be
I see the eyes as they look back at me don't think I can't see
I know just like the rest you push, hold us back not letting us be
the difference I can see
you are you they are them and I am me
I look through the window the one no one sees
 calm...paticent...in control...and letting it be.
