The Windlight

The day
Filled with light
The sea,
filled with joy

The windlight
drifted across
I felt it shine
upon my face
A strange glow

Warm, it was,
comforting too
Far down the beach
Carrying me

Across the sea,
the windlight
blew out the night
Such beauty for me

Believe in such things
The windlight
to take away your night
To set free,
all that is warm and light

All those who gathered on the shore
Saw the day
Filled with light
The sea,
filled with joy,
filled with light
Filling you and me
