The Winding Road of Your Choosing

Indecision weighs on me
Like snowfall laden on a tree
That life's in motion there's no doubt
I'll have to bandy thoughts about
This heart is worn from wandering
I think it's dreams I'm squandering
It's not that I'm unloved you see
But steamy tears still fall from me
My soul is hungry yet for more
Can feel the ache right to my core
Dare I go or should I stay
Will fall upon my knees and pray
Feeling compromised and lost
Choices come at such a cost
The world will keep on turning, still
I'll have to exercise free will
It's this that keeps me up at night
Just yearn to do what's real and right
Making memories or keeping old
Staying safe or courting bold
Moving on or hanging back
Simply want my life on track
Help me won't you, find my way?
You're right,tomorrow's another day!

I really enjoyed reading thru this one, Deb. It reads like a road too, going from thought to thought. . . was it meant for that one contest on path choices? It reminds me in a small way of my Avenue of Aimless End. LUv ,Andrea
