The Wind Whispers To Me
The Wind Whispers to Me
The wind whispers to me of days gone by
The birds start to sing so I think I can fly
I seem to break free from my life of the past
The things that surround me the molds I have cast.
The sun starts to shine to bring life to the day
The view from this vantage is much different today
The pain is still there but there's so much more
It takes a back seat as my spirit starts to soar.
I think of the things that I once held so dear
They don't seem to matter whenever you are near
The brook trickles by on its way to the sea
Reminds me of my journeys now I'm able to see.
It stumbles over stones but remains on course
It may change its path yet never its source
The day starts to linger as it starts to get warm
The voices in my head are starting to smarm.
I see all these things that are external to me
They all seem to play a part in whom I will be
The sun goes down and I feel quite content
I see myself inside all the intentions I've sent.
The moon and the stars remind me of my home
I feel so much hope yet I'm still standing alone
The light and the darkness are not like before
The demons that haunted me just walked out the door.
The sun returns introducing the light
The Blindness is gone replaced with sight
Once where I thought this may be the end
I seem to find peace in help from my friends.
