The Whole of It

deep deep down i feel it,
i feel the whole of it,
i feel the cold of it,
i feel the dark where no spark ignites light
to illuminate the the soul of it.
the depth, i feel the depth of it,
i feel the pull on my spirit can,t slow down
can,t stop can,t put a check on it,
can,t gain good ground can,t seem to step from it,
can,t find strength to turn to retreat from it,
dark cold there,s no glow no heat from it.
i feel smashed bashed heavily trashed i feel beat from it,
each day when i wake still no break
just cold knowledge that again i,ll feel the repeat of it.
I pray for the day i,ll feel release from it,
break the strength of the hold surcease from it.
