The White Elephant

Attention all voters
Who love a great scam
The Republican Party
Now welcomes flimflam

Republican healthcare
Fell apart at the seams
Through an absence of facts
And a surplus of dreams

Republican planning
Takes a decade or two 
To discover what's missing
Is an average IQ

American healthcare
(Most expensive on earth)
Will not save your life
But destroy your net worth

So enlist in a Party
Where the money rolls in 
And believe those in Congress
Can spend it like sin

No pilgrim had healthcare
Play the cards that you've got
For, "I am the President,
and you are naught!

They use to say that's "bad"...a young man at work said; that's "dope". Well, I think I'll say, that's good, really good. Great, actually. Rico Leffanta July 17, 2017 at 1:25 PM Without healthcare, pilgrims and pioneers made this nation great by stepping over the bodies of their loved ones. The Hepatitus C pill now costs about $4 in India compared to $1,000 in the USA, the full treatment $85,000 in the USA compared to only $33,000 in France, because Congress prefers personal wealth to public health. $50,000 still buys considerable political and AMA clout!

Chris Green July 12, 2017 at 6:23 AM Obamacare is costing me a fortune now, much more than I ever paid before the Democrats decided they needed to stick their hands in my pockets again and pays for virtually nothing I need. I just wish it would go back to the way it was before, I had good health insurance. And tell me this, if Obamacare is so great, why do none of the politicians have to use it? Why did they get a pass and we didn't? Nice poem by the way, you did express your views very creatively. As long as Congress determines millionaires and corporations need not pay taxes to support the free-spending federal government, you must pony up. Other nations see the benefit of having an healthy, well-educated workforce and zoom up WHO ranks, whereas the USA just tumbles out of the top ten.
