The Wedding
Treasure this day, a day of joy and bliss,
A triumph of love,
Now sealed with a Kiss,
On this day of eternal devotion, Church bells ring,
Slowly, people stroll along and finally gather,
But we forget the important thing,
That the daughter lets go of her dependence on her father,
A rush of memories, a flood of emotion,
A midst the family members and all the commotion,
An instance of tranquility, beauty and peace from the church doorway, she
begins to emerge,
With a bouquet of flowers and a gown of lace,
She walks down the aisle, leaving a rose petal trace,
Together forever their love will bind, their love will connect,
The significance of this moment is quite simple in fact,
It’s a sign that she’s following her heart,
Blushing as red as the rose, she knows that nothing will lead them apart,
For in each other they found trust, beauty and devotion,
As if magic, yet no one has a love potion,
From a friendship to a partnership,
to a life long relationship,
Enjoy this day for it's your own,
Embark on this adventure,
In companion with each other never now alone,
May your lives always be happy and loving whilst facing your new found future,
