The Web
I saw a man laying down in Gods hand
He was looking ahead, faking a plan
Insecure in his way, he thought to lie
To make sure his way, he justified
These manipulations, spun into a web
He felt cocooned, safe from dread
As he trusted to his own understanding
Forgetting God in his foolish planning
What are you thinking, to fear a man
And not fear Me and you’re in My hand?
Why do you fear, lie and manipulate
As if some mortal held your fate?
I speak to the waves and they do roar
You’re in My hand, do you want more?
Did I say your hairs are numbered by Me?
Is that so impossible for you to believe?
I knew your name before you were born
And from My own hand you can’t be torn
I go before you, make the crooked straight
Yet, out of fear of man, you manipulate?
Remember: When you want to plan ahead
First look at my promises to you instead
You don’t have to stand in fear of any man
Fear Me only and rest in My unseen hand
