It was my season, as it is for all of humanity to have, a season of darkness, to weather the storms of life. What many fail to realize is, there is an end to all storms, though there will be seasons of sorrows and woe. The skies will deliver a bow of promise to you, and for you, there will be joy again.
THE WEATHER IN ME
How is the weather, someone asked of me,
It's sunny outside but raining indeed,
There's sun outside, and bright clear blue skies,
but a storm of tears are beyond my eyes.
I wish to come out of the rain inside,
from where the pain of the forgotten hides,
from heartbreaks of lightning and thunder in soul,
where waves of sorrowful billows roll.
Lost in the sorrows of a raging storm,
awaited the rescue of cold hearts once warm.
Though the compass God’s Word pointed the way,
they wandered afar having gone astray.
Suddenly the skies rolled back, my dark stormy night,
and silver lined clouds were again in sight.
There a rainbow now stretched, as far as I could see,
sunshine and blue skies, now the weather in me.
