The Way You Look
I see the way you look tonight
in soft shadows cast by candlelight,
we are ensconced in faint scent
of midnight meadows,
and in your eyes the dancing sprite
glitters in mischievous counter-pose.
The velvet silence of the night grows
into the euphony of a new dawn,
and I awake from a sleepy repose...
Perhaps you are made out of dreams
I have forgotten.
