The Way To Peace and Tranquility

To kiss the thing we should
not kiss
Is to kiss the thing that brings
us bliss
To kiss the thing that we
would miss
Is to kiss the thing that we
would bless
To kiss the thing that we
give our heart
Is to kiss the thing that would
tear it apart
To kiss the thing that we
secretly love
Is to kiss the thing from
heaven above
Yet, to kiss the thing we
should not kiss
Is to kiss the thing
we love best

Deep here, Johniii. I read it several times. my thoughts are that to kiss the things from God above, spiritual things, is to kiss the thing that for us is best. If to kiss the thing we should not kiss brings more joy than kissing the gift from God....LOVE. Then watch out!!! There's a flaming sword at the Garden of Eden. We already have enough toil with thorns and thistles. If it's lust, let it go. If it's love, call the preacher and get on with the show! OKAY... I take it back. Great poem.
