The Way of Light

~a collaboration with my friend, Khilee~

We shake hands vigorously at our best
My heart is pounding softly in my chest
I was looking for a brother like you
But, I couldn't think things through

I've tried to find somebody 
I've tried to find someone like you
I've tried to find anybody
I've not completely made it through

But, I couldn't think things through
It's all the crazy things that you do 
I was looking around for a friend like you
Who knew it would be you out of the blue

I was lost but I was found by your bravery
I've tried my best to fight through but I couldn't give up frankly
Your honesty is like a humongous pot of gold
I was searching vigilantly for our friendship oh so bold
Through your loyal friendship, you showed me the way of light
I couldn't really find it - even if I tried with my mightiest might

I've tried to find somebody 
I've tried to find someone like you
I've tried to find anybody
I've not completely made it through

But, I couldn't think things through
It's all the crazy things that you do 
I was looking around for a friend like you
Who knew it would be you out of the blue

You couldn't handle the pressure and heat rising
The music inside you and I is rather hypnotizing
Sometimes, gravity makes us wanna lean on somebody 
Let's make a grand stand to understand us and everybody

I've tried to find somebody 
I've tried to find someone like you
I've tried to find anybody
I've not completely made it through

But, I couldn't think things through
It's all the crazy things that you do 
I was looking around for a friend like you
Who knew it would be you out of the blue

Through your brotherly love,
You showed me the way of light
I found it - I tried it from above
Still looking for a brother like you, thinking things through all day and night
