The Way Life Should Be

who am i
who should i be
a fun lovin pirate
who rules the sea,
a gardener
who plants baby trees
maybe a teacher
who nurtures the mind
or a race car driver
who can turn on a dime
a movie star actress
with my name up in lights
a tour guide speaker
bringing life to the sights
i could write stories
to make children laugh
a zoo keeper who bathes the giraffes
climb tall mountains
and plant my flag
maybe a doctor
who'll fix broken legs
one thing's for certain
i have no doubt
whoever i am
and whatever i choose
as long as i'm me
i'll never lose

This is a fun poem about a series of possibilities. In today's economic climate, a person is fortunate to have a job of any type. Let's hope that improves soon. Thanks for sharing. Elton
