The Way I See It, the Way I Am

As the years fly by
And troubling times press deep,
I look at my world with sadness
And sometimes I weep.
Hearts have grown callous
Void of conscience and soul,
Innocent children are victims
Of adults out of control.
Like a rising crescendo
In this symphony of hate,
The boiling point nears
With total destruction our fate.
If there is a judgement day
I wonder if God will decide
To step in and take charge
And stop our hellbound ride.
I have friends all over
Some are hurting inside,
I wish I could hold each one of them
Til their tears have dried.
Its how I was created
To help others in need.
To be a blessing while alive
And plant love as the seed.
