The Way I Am

Keep me safe within your arms
Hold me tight
For I fear I might lose you tonight.

Almost whole
I'll never feel good enough
Don't be alarmed I'm full of contradiction.

Laugh at me if you want
I laugh at myself all the time
I fancy myself a comedian of sorts.

Afraid to tell you how I feel
I know you'd never make fun of me
Still, I can't help these feelings of reservations.

Skyy, Reading you poetry today has been a pleasure. I think that sometimes reservation protects us. And sometimes shyness misses opportunity. Who knows? Only you can decide.Keep writing. Lovingly, Dane Ann
