The Water Listens

Asleep at night, tucked into dreams
   Waves retreat, the water beats

Soft awake, whispered words
The water's there, waves silent prayer

A wintry morn, the sun's rays bright
   Waves glisten, the water listens

Late afternoon, a chill return
   Waters merge, whitecaps surge

Moonlit eve, hearts on sleeves
   Waves subside, the waters glide

Beautifully soothing my friend. A very alluring poem with soft features. Nicely done.
