The Walls Around Emotions
Why is it that feeling are something that people try to hide
It’s not because of humility and I don’t think it’s because of pride
It’s a thing called fear which drives us all to build these walls around us
Almost the same fear that keeps you to yourself and makes it hard for you to trust
The fear of rejection is the most common of fear and that’s where the foundation begins
That’s a battle that’s difficult to fight and most of the time fear wins
So you have the foundation now what comes next to help complete these walls
The next fear is not as common but from the past is where it calls
Most people have had bad experience and it dictates decisions they make
Scared to express there feelings because they have had so much pain and ache
The feelings of emotional agony and distress can be far worst then physical pains
Constant heartache and indescribable anguish which is why this fear can reign
You will spare your pain by keeping to yourself this is indeed is your notion
And that is why you are simply left with walls around your emotions
