The Walls Are Closing In

The Walls Are Closing In

Today I woke to a bad day
History told me so
Everything I tried to do imploded…

Why? You may well ask
And you’d be justified
Let’s just say, I have experience
Losing things, time, meanings
Seems I can’t choose right from wrong

Abject, indeed I was
Reaching for my book of words
Every last thought replicated

Could I find answers in the pages
Lessen the blow, the flow?
Only if I found the right leaf
Silencing what I don’t want to know
I read, I read to no avail
No answer coming from within
God, the walls are closing in…

I’m sorry, today’s a bad do
Not on the same page as you.
