The Wake of my Village
She's coming downhill fast, the homes are in her path
her cycle in the past that forwards reckless wrath,

Upward points the steeple seen high from up the hill,
movements by the people show motive tact and skill,
seen high from up the hill upward points the steeple,
show motive tact and skill movements by the people.
Midst foremost part of town the church bells chime away,
The first few homes burnt down there's no time to delay,

As we met at the church, most wondered what's up next,
an outlook on top perch, through chapel nave complex,

Prayed vigils are maintained, recovered lost now found,
exhaustive souls are drained as flow is gaining ground,
