The Waiting Room

When did the problem begin?

I can’t even speak- my veins are swimming with sin.

And my eyes are trying to understand.

Why can’t I feel the pen in my hand?

The clock jumps around.

The doctor approaches with a frown.

I didn’t think I was so bad-

Until euphoria wore off, and the night turned me mad.

This room, this room- there is no room to wait.

The longer I sit here, the more my mind abates.

My intuition is cracking.

My thoughts are glitching and lacking.

I will hand you control of my consciousness.

Please take it away, being awake I will not miss.
