Voyage of a Sailor
I am a storm-stricken sailor
In search of a tiny hangar
To heal my woes, sorrows and strains:
O Lord, set me free from my pains;
My voyage has braved dunes of sand,
On my way I`ve encountered friends
Eager to hurl me down a drain:
O Lord, set me free from my pains;
My voyage has been a long tale
Of struggles against stormy gales
That on my flesh have stamped their stains:
O Lord, set me free from my pains;
My voyage has been a battle
Against wild waves where I scrambled
To keep my vessel safe and sane:
O Lord, set me free from my pains;
All along my strenuous voyage
I`ve eyed the sky at every stage
And whispered your hymns from my brain:
O Lord, set me free from my pains;
I gaze at the divine heaven
In space beyond the horizon,
My soul is jailed with molten chains:
O Lord, set me free from my pains;
My voyage is close to its end
My wounded heart I yearn to mend
I try my soul to loose in vain:
O Lord, set me free from my pains.
