The Vows Not Taken

You do not wish to marry me Oh, how that breaks my heart But I will stay with you anyway Better to be with you, than apart You tell me that you love me You say you always will You only want my happiness Yet you know how I feel You promise, but yet do not No ring will I ever wear And you say you won't change your mind My heart is still laid bare I will always love you Even if I am not your wife And you know I will be true For I am yours for life
