The Void

She sits at the table looking out the kitchen window, thinking of the day  that he was on one knee and proposed. That was the happiest she had ever been in her life, over the years, he turned sour stabbed her in the back with a knife. Their life was just a lie something she couldn't avoid, she tries to have a conversation but he always seems annoyed. She should have never been with him he talks about his life in the past, she takes his ring off, sets in down she thought this love was supposed to last. Their marriage had come to a hateful, bitter end, she hurts inside her heart and soul they started off as best friends. The loneliness inside her she had felt it for years, remembers always being put down and it brings her to tears. She looks at the gold ring thought they'd always be together, nothing to fill the void in her heart the sadness will last forever. Copyright Cynthia Jones Apr.29/2015 Just something that came to me.
