The Voice of Silence

My breath is short and whispers loudly Of all the things that's locked inside me. My blood is cold as my heart is racing Betraying thoughts of friends that love me, To sickened by the voice of silence, words of comfort go unnoticed. But only a flickering moment do I see A glance of freedom from the burden I'd be. As if my friends truly desired, there voiced encouraged my dooming endeavor. And soon silence becomes my closed friend, Forming the lies and my needles in bed. Leaving me to quake, is it time for me to wake, Or fall victim to my mistake.
