The Voice
The voice is familiar
Although quite peculiar
But it’s only when I’m alone
I hear the voice I have become prone
The doctor says it’s in my head
Whisperings of the bitterness I so dread
Do I warn others of my plight
Infecting whispering things that can’t be right
So strangeness is my regular thing
When I hear the whispering
I feel it more and more each day
When the voice doesn’t go away.
