The Vision

The Vision

I was out walking
One sunny morning in May
I herd a sound behind me
Then a gentle voice did say

'If you're lonely, I'm the answer
Your future is with me
Your heart yearns for a soulmate
And I know that I'm the key'

I just kept on walking
Then a vision I did see
My heart it skipped a beat
When the vision looked at me

I stopped in my tracks
With my arms open wide
My heart beating faster
And bursting with pride

The vision smiled at me
Then slowly faded away
I never saw them again
After that fateful day
