The Victor

Far from land and out to the sea Calling for everyone to me Crying for help without an aid Coming to conquest in the raid Seeking the land and blinded by All but drifting on the sighs Taking the sharks by the the nose And for the moment find repose Whoever heard that a man could win After he’d fought just on a whim Without a sword and with only a cry That his brethren should stand nearby Who’s ever seen such wondrous sight That with his trophy he found the light He’d taken off and he did win For all his friends and all his kin Let’s celebrate his victory now As he parades and takes a bow The winners’ circle is just so small He’ll find his niche and conquer all
