The Very Start of the River

It’s the very start of the river.
You look at it from above -
It’s a good place for each dreamer,
And it’s a good time to come to love

The murmur of the meandering brook,
The spring greenery everywhere.
Go down and have a look!
Is there a nicer place anywhere?

Sudden noise in the trees and bushes
Raises your head up quickly -
High in the sky two falcons make circles
You look at them and stand weakly,

Because the sight takes your breath away.
It’s the very start of the river -
You feel free and let your thoughts stray.
Now you may sit down and take cover.

You try to memorize the river,
The birds, the murmur, and the stones...
At nights it will be much easier
To dream dreams like flights of falcons...
