The Very First Time

By: Miranda Lambert
For: Michael Falotico’s contest “Eyes First Meet”

Simple as a glance
Turns two stares entwined
Distant, unknown, yet conjoined

Seduced by my eyes
Your temptation begins to sting
Denial no longer and option

End with a burning kiss
Indulging fever from our lips
Caressing that love into today

Compelling and passionate description of love at first sight, Randa. Really liked the way you described the feelings as "distant, unknown, yet conjoined." Excellent writing! Wishing you success in Michael's contest. Love, Carolyn
