The Vaporised Self

practice makes perfect, so let’s get to it
until we feel each nuance deep within 
soft rhythm taking us to the summit

the table is laid and the lamp is lit
inviting us to silence ego din

playful forgiving heart and ready wit
childlike pristine innocence free from sin
soft rhythm taking us to the summit

divinity within clear light emits
cognised by presence in stillness sanguine
practice makes perfect, so let’s get to it

steely stoic resolve that never quits
each breath intake with gratitude virgin
soft rhythm taking us to the summit

embrace-hold-release with ease, oh hermit
feeling thus bliss graze each pore of our skin
practice makes perfect, so let’s get to it
