The Vanity of Pleasure

In pursuit of pleasure, we'll surely decay..
Indulgence and vanity leading us astray.
For shallow desires, we blindly chase..
A never-ending cycle, a futile race.

Yet fleeting joy and empty bliss we find..
In this illusionary world, we are confined.
Let us not surrender to this shallow measure..
And instead seek depths beyond mere pleasure.

Thanks. This sets me thinking. Pleasure seeking leads us astray. And now we're in moral decay. What can we do to put it right? For now we're facing Nature's might. Tony
