The Untouchable

I’ve never longed for something more in life My eyes are seas and my hands grab greed My desire to be alive Pulled like a weed And my fingers soon unclasp To reveal nothing but air My glee slipped from my hands And there it lay bare Exposed to the storms And journey it shall make As it slowly conforms And remains unawake I’ve waited so long the trees die again And my nose cold but rosy As I think of back then When cuddles with happiness were cozy But now I must face The thing that’s unbearable My joy weeps now with grace As she is untouchable
