The Unknown

I don't know you
Nor do you know me
Thanks for all your comments
For my eyes to see

Let me help you understand
In my moment of despair
Writing is my only out
For, too much, I care

I've got one in ICU
One moving away
One in Iraq
Another grandchild on the way

One shedding tears in a park
Two more getting deployed
One laying rail on a highway
One unemployed

A dad running for office
Another man can bring me to my knees
My mother overwhelmed
A boss to please

I lost my house
A daughter too mature for her age
It's not that life is bad
I'm just is a terrible stage

Words of encouragement
Always provide hope
Some days are ok
Others I just can't cope
