The Unknown
The great stranger unknown,
always there but never shown.
A veil of uncertainty,
hidden well in eternity.
If only we could catch a glimpse,
how it would effect our lives immense.
Heaven, hell those questions linger,
till we feel death's cold finger.
Visions of golden streets and pearly gates,
make you wonder why we wait.
We come into this world with great promise
and nothing in hand.
We leave this world with a great promise
of an unseen land.
Take comfort you are not alone to face this fate,
we all must keep destiny's date.
