The Undead

Oh my goodness how did it come to this?
How did I know that this is was not just a kiss?
He has swept me from my feet
Says we were destined to meet.

But oh those blood red eyes
They tell the most wonderful lies.
I tried to run from that hypnotic gaze
Only to be trapped in this delicious haze.

He looks me straight in the eye
As he leans in, my lips he passes by.
Oh that sting upon my flesh
As my blood is most fresh

He bites and he feeds
As my blood is what he needs.
He then looks at me with my blood upon his lips
Before my mind and body to unconsciousness slips

"Come my love it is time for you, me thinks"
As his wrist is opened and his blood I doth drinks.
Tonight you are now my bride
You will forever be by my side"

Says this was always our fate
That he knew from our first date
From that the very first word said
He knew I was meant for the life of the undead.

Awesome tale of vampires in love. The story was captivating (to say the least) and the meter and rhyme scheme work well. Nice work, Kristy! Love, Carolyn
