The Truth About Trust

Truth is such a scary thing,
it never seems to last.
It makes you dream for something new,
then takes that hope right back.

I wish the world would understand,
that truth is such a lie.
It tears poor beings limb from limb,
It steals the yearn to try.

Liars have ruined trust at will,
And still don't care at all.
They love to see how others hurt,
when backed against the wall.
