The Truth About Lies

I thought that it was all okay 
But see, my heart got in the way
It told me lies that I believed 
Yet I can't claim I was deceived
I gladly opened up the door
I welcomed them, I did for sure
But then they up and went away
I'd found the truth, now where are they?
