The Truth About Jim
A letter from a poetess
Read from a sister to her sis'
Written a few years ago by their mother
About their unknown other brother
She wrote- "I tried my life to go find him
You have a brother, his name is Jim
For every day my hearts been sad
Since the day he was taken by his dad
I was seventeen when he was born
For seventy years my hearts been torn
Should I have told you, or should I have not
I've thought about that a lot
One day a letter came in the mail
From Jim's father who died in jail
He wrote- "I'm sorry, I know how you have cried
But the truth about Jim, is that he died
That day when you thought I took Jim away
A car struck Jim when he went to play
For together we could never be
Because the driver of that car...was me"
