The Truth

The Truth Shall Set You Free,
No Doubt, I truly do agree,
But too much truth can tear the soul,
If souls aren’t ready to hear it.
I timely lie can heal the self,
And leave the soul to introspect,
Then such truth can come from God,
And shame won’t be down like a rod,
So share the truth, whether good or bad, but always with good reason,
Cause yes the truth shall set you free, but everything in its season.

I agree. Some truths if hurtful are better left unsaid. I like the honesty and candor of this poem. Blessings to you for sharing it. Thank you for the kind words regarding my poem. Best wishes with your writing. Karen
