The Truth

i am alone

for i am the only one who can see

this horrible, tragic truth

but, with enlightenment brings darkness

and for all i see, darkness entwines with me

and fills my soul with its presence

quenching the light till i am almost blind

yet the darkness grants knowledge

the price of this knowledge is slavery

of your body, mind, and soul

so if you dare, you can stand beside me in darkness

for i am alone
