The Truth
We ask for the truth,
but it's masked by
televised ordeals of everything else
we are not fortune tellers
we don't know what the future holds
so we sit and wait
day after day for a sign
that may never come
neither psychics, fortune tellers
or tarot card readers know
what awaits our fate
carpe Diem seize the day
live for today
because tomorrow may never come
