The Tropics

Watching travelogs about the tropics I yearn for the warm sunny beaches Don't get me wrong I still love Canada But miss those gentle summer breezes The fresh sea air drifting across the water Soft and exhilarating sun on my skin Heaven like feeling matched by my mind Always accompanied by a grin Too old now to expect things to change Will forever be an unfulfilled dream But I can still dream about the tropics Still can till I finally run out of steam

Ah, Jack, I doubt very seriously that you will ever run out of steam. You'll probably chug right up to the end, like I plan to do. I've thought about pulling out all of my money and spending my last days in the Caribbean. It won't happen, tho, I'm sure. I don't think I could stand the scenery...you know what I mean.
