The Trip

farewell to the sun as it sets to the west
the evening brings peaceful shade
so long to you girl, i wish you the best
always remember the love we made

farewell to my mind, its lost and blank
the stress has wiped it clean
so long to those who i should thank
and allow them time to blow off steam

i leave today to never return
from this i cant turn back
i take with me the things I've learned
death only takes me, not what i pack
