The Treasures Within
A beggar had been sitting at the side of a road
For over thirty years on a box which was old.
One beautiful day a stranger walked by.
“Spare some change?” – asked the beggar and sighed.
“I have nothing to give you”, - said the stranger to him,-
“What is that you are sitting on?” “Just an old box, I seem.
I’ve been sitting on it for as long as I live”.
“Ever looked what’s inside?” “There is nothing in it”.
“Have a look in to see - there’s something or not”.
So he opened the box and it was filled with gold.
I was inspired by a parable from Eckhart Tolle’s Book “The Power of Now”.
