The Traveler

The lost and weary traveler
Walks this earth alone
No where to lay his head
No where to call his home

Cursed to be a vagabond
Moving from place to place
His sorrow is his history
It's written all over his face

Baby killer they called him
A solider back from the war
How quickly they forget
What he was fighting for

A hero now discarded
He no longer has a name
He's just the one they point at
When they need someone to blame

How can we let this happen
To those who were so brave
This is how we thank them
For the sacrifice they gave

The lost and weary traveler
Walks this earth alone
No where to lay his head
No where to call his home

A real travesty. Good write, Larry. A shame how these guys are treated.
