The Tough Times

Watching all these teenagers my age doing what I see

Could be just enough to break me

I’ve heard many story’s & saw many things

We all never know what tomorrow brings.

Leaving this world not knowing that you mean a lot

Just walking down the streets & seeing people get shot.

To look and see what this world has become

Just makes me want to cry because were all so young

Sometimes before you realize it, it’s too late

Because you’re already up to heaven’s gate

I’ve lost many friends

And the pain never seems to end

To see what their families have went through

Gives me something, not to look forward to.

I’ve been through the pain, & fought through the tears

Now all I can do is hope & wish; to live through the years

My heart goes out to the families of my friends

That have had their life come to an end.

But when it comes to the end of the night

I look at the sky & see them shining bright

I loved this Real peice. I think you may enjoy my poem The boy at the park it has a lot to do with what you have written here. I know how hard it can be not only from teaching in a rough school but from my own hard childhood and the ones who do survive make such a difference in this life for all those who are in need and feel alone or misunderstood. Keep writting and stay strong, Love Sabina:)
